Executive Director - Rollie Rose

Rollie Rose spent 35 years in the newspaper industry as a reporter and editor at the New Westminster Columbian, Vancouver Sun and Province and at community newspapers in Salmon Arm, Campbell River, and Port Alberni. He became a newspaper owner in 1974 when he purchased Island Publishers Ltd. and the Ladysmith-Chemainus Chronicle.

He is a former president of the B.C. & Yukon Community Newspaper Association.

He served on Ladysmith City Council for seven years, five as Mayor (1988-1993).

He is a former director of the Nanaimo Airport and Vice-chairman of the Cowichan Foundation.
